Was looking into get a new game to play while on vacation. It was a toss up between Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception and DiRT Showdown. Looked on the Future Shop website. They had both for about $40 each. When I went and looked at they store saw DiRT Showdown first. Look to see if they really had Uncharted. After a bit of looking found it. The best part was they had it marked for $20. So needless to say that is what I bought. Going to give it a try tomorrow. Will be back with another post.

The demo for DiRT Showdown is now out. First off it feels like a DiRT game but different as well. They all ways have the coolest menu systems. You start the demo with one race and one car (Once you challenge a friend you unlock a few more). The race is the figure eight type. Once you finish the race they want you to send a online challenge to an online friend to unlock multiplayer. In the multiplayer you get to pick from four cars and enter a demo derby. It was kind of fun. The cars handle great. Will need some practice if I want to get any good at the online demo derby. From what I seen you can upgrade your cars. All so level up just like the last game. Do believe you will level up on and off line.
Another cool think is if you sign up for Codemasters Racenet you will get $20,000 of in game money and a new livery. Just might do this.

It is not out until the end of May. But over at GameSpot.com every now and again the have a “Now Playing” video. Were one or more people sit down and play and upcoming game. The newest one as you might have guessed is about DiRT Showdown (Video below or click > here). The guy that is taking is kind of funny. As for the game itself it a only an early build but you can see that it looks pretty sweet. The video is about 27 minutes long. Didn’t watch the whole thing because I want to see the game for myself then it comes out.

Next Tuesday (May 1, 2012) there will be a demo out out PSN, Xbox Live and Steam. From the article, it will “feature a solo and multiplayer event”. So you will get to try two races (I think). It will use their new RaceNet. This seems to be the new tread in gaming. What RaceNet does like many others like is an online “hub” that tracks you races, your friends races, rewards and the like. It will be free, which is nice. Even better news the game will be out May 25, 2012. Can’t wait to try the demo. I know what I will be doing next Tuesday.

This one is called Boost for the Win Gameplay trailer. Looking forward to trying this game out. While it is more of arcade style this time around. That is because it is an off shoot for the game series. There is a DiRT 4 in the works. I think if this game handles like the others in the series it will be very fun. All so think an online demo derby might be fun, may be. Will found out because I plan on buying this game. Hope there is a demo before it comes out. Amazon says the game will be out May 31, 2012.

They have some exclusive game play videos. Showing off five of the game modes and five tracks. It is looks pretty good. Be sure to check that out > here. Loved the first three DiRT games. While this one is not the next one on pre say, more of a spin off. If it plays and handles like the others it will be funny for sure. I know I will be buying it. There is a new game coming out in DiRT series, called DiRT Showdown. This one is more about the arcade aspect. From what I was reading it will mix the extreme sports stuff from DiRT 2, some Gymkhana from DiRT 3 and then some destruction derby. The destruction derby aspect has me interested. Has been awhile since I have seen a game with the element. It will be out some time in 2012. Think this will be a wait and see game. Take a look at the trailer.
