DiRT 5 Another Update

Yet, another post talking about DiRT 5.  At this point have put in about seven hours.  While I like the game am starting to get a bit bored with it all ready.  Have been playing the career mode.  There is lot of variety with the vehicles.  However all the races seem to play out the same.  Have reach a point were the races become to tuff so I had to lower the difficultly.  Going to keep picking at it and only do a few races at a time.  Unlike there other DiRT games don’t feel compelled to keep going.

DiRT 5 Hands On Update

Have put some more time into DiRT 5.   From what I have played am liking it very much.  There seems to be lots of variety with the types of vehicles mixed over different race types.  That is were I ran into some trouble.  Some of the races had no problem winning the first time out.  The other not so much.  Think that is because of the vehicle type.  Those are Super Lites and Sprint.  They were all over the track and couldn’t get them under control.  Luckily you don’t have to do those races if you don’t want to.  One race type took me my surprise is, Rock Bouncer.  You drive a rock crawler over a timed track.  Was very fun and looking forward to trying more.  If you are a PlayStation Plus members for January 2022.  It is well worth the download.

DiRT 5 Hands On

Am a big fan of the DiRT series but haven’t gotten my hands on DiRT 5.  Well we got lucky because it is one of the games for PlayStation Plus members for January 2022.   Most times I just add these games to my list and never download any.  This one I did right way.  All so like the fact they are giving the PS4 and PS5 version out.  So when that day I do mange to get my hands on PS5 will have a better looking version.  Not like the PS4 is bad looking, it’s amazing.  So far from what I have played, have been having lots of fun.

DiRT 5

Am a big fan of the DiRT games.  At this point of time, (November 2021), DiRT 5 has been out for a year.  There is a sale running on the PlayStation Store and it’s there for a good price.  The thing is I like to own most games on disc.  Took a quick look on Amazon.ca and see there were some re-sellers asking too much.  Thinking I might check out the local Walmart or Best Buy to see if they have any copies or a good price.  If not just might bit the bullet and buy it digital.

DiRT 5

It has been along time since I talked about DiRT 5.  An a big fan of this series so will be getting myself a copy.  May be not right way since there are so many awesome games coming this last part of the year.  It was original planned to be out in October but got pushed back to November 6, 2020.  This is one of the games that will be on current and next gen systems.  Have read if you have the current gen copy and upgrade your system it will work.  Adding a visual upgrade.

DiRT 5 Trailer

If you stopped by this blog over they years you might know that I am a big fan of the DiRT games.  Have some good news to share DiRT 5 is on it’s way. It is much different than DiRT 4.  Which is my favourite because it took it back to mostly rally racing.  This one however is something like DiRT 2 and 3 which a mix of the Forza Horizon.  From the trailer, which you can see > here or below, it does look like a fun racing game.  Codemasters are at the top car game makers.  The game set to be out in October (2020) on current and next gen consoles.  One of the features that has me interested is four player split screen.  Do hope the feature is on the PS4 version.  That is the version I will be buying.

Free Play Day – DiRT 4

In this weeks video for the YouTube Channel, I’d Rather Watch Paint Dry have a Free Play Day.  A few videos back talked about the DiRT games series and how much I enjoyed them. Haven’t played DiRT 4 in a very long time. So it makes it prefect for Free Play Day. Try out one stage first just to get used to the controls again. The second half, play a three stage rally. Lets Talk DiRT Game Series

In this weeks video for the YouTube Channel, I’d Rather Watch Paint Dry, talk about the DiRT game series. Have been a fan of rally racing ever since I seen it on TV as a kid. Used to watch the Canadian rally championship every weekend. When the first PlayStation as out would rent rally games all the time. Years later when the PS3 out discovered Colin McRae’s DiRT game. This became my favourite racing game. Will until the next one was out. There have been some DiRT game series spin offs. Never got into those. Still a fan of the main series. Fickle Friends – Brooklyn (GotSome Remix)

Have been playing a lot DiRT 4.  There are may great song in this soundtrack.  Some of which I even knew who they were.  Well there is one I didn’t and have to share because it is stuck in my head.  Had to try and find out what it was called and by who.  Turns out it is called Brooklyn (GotSome Remix) by Fickle Friends.  Being a remix had to look up the original song.  Well it is totally different.  Like the remix better.  You can give it a listen > here or below.

DiRT 4

Have put some time into DiRT 4.  Am enjoying the game a lot.  There is a lot going on in this game.  The menu screens make it look like a simple racing game.  Once you dig deeper there is lots to unlock and manage.  Course you win money to buy cars and upgrade them.  However there is more to than that.  You have a whole crew to manage.  They look after your cars.  So they get a cut of your winnings.  Then there is the PR person.  Which gets a cut as well.  They help you find better sponsors.  If you do well in a race meeting the criteria they set you win a bit of extra money.   Over time you can add more people to your team.  Each one can be upgrade or changed out if you are not happy with them.  All so the more you play you can unlock more sponsors you can add to the cars.  Then there is the facilities.  Each one does something different and is upgradeable.  Another thing is, you can own a car or a team can lend you one.  The trade off is you the lent one they take just about half your winnings.  But you don’t have to buy a car for that race type.  So there is a trade off.
