For many years now the rule in the house was to have the tree up on the first Sunday in December. Well that was last week and I wasn’t feeling so good. So put it up today (December 11, 2022). Cut back a bit on the decorations this time. Putting mostly ones that have some kind of meaning behind them. Think it turned out ok.
It has been the rule in the house of a very long time that the first Sunday in December (which is today December 5, 2021) we put the tree up. This year remember buy all new sets of lights. Got those back in November. These new ones do make a difference, much brighter. Have put up this tree and the past ones for so many years it doesn’t take long. Like last year didn’t put as many ornaments on. Think it turned out good.

Like last year forgot to buy a new stings of lights. Thinking I might just do that one day after work and have them for next year. Have done this so many time have a system. So it doesn’t take long. But did run into some trouble. Tested all the lights by themselves and all attached together. They worked fine. Then when I put them on the tree the second set wouldn’t work. So guess what it’s staying that way. Still think it turned out good.

Was hard at first but got thought it. Forgot at first we had a one string of white lights. Looks a bit odd. However still think it turned out ok.

Well until I plugged them in once they were all on the tree. The set at the top no longer worked for some reason. It’s a small set so easy to take off. So I had to move a few other lights around to try and fill in the gaps. Time got around to doing all that. Decided we will decorate the tree the next day. Here is the finish product.

Have add more lights to it this time. The only thing is, could only fine white strings of lights. All the rest are green. It kinds of sticks out. But at night it’s not so bad. The trick is to have they all laid out on which stings to put on first and last. All so being not to fussy helps. Turned out pretty good, I think.

For the second year on a row Christmas Daddies will be airing on a Saturday. This year is is December 5, 2015. This and for some other reason we have switched things up. Today is the first so we decorated the tree. Had the tree and the lights on it a few days again. I think it turned out pretty good.
It’s the first Sunday in December and Christmas Daddies is on. So that means it’s time to decorate the tree. Well the tree it’s self has been up for a week. All so had the lights on as well. Think the extra week set up let the branches level out. It all so help that I didn’t have to do it all in one day. Like every year think the tree looks great. On a side note for the first time I got all my Christmas shopping done, wrapped and ready to go before December.

Put up the Christmas tree today, December 2, 2012. I has been our tradition to put up the tree the first Sunday of the month. While watching Christmas Daddies. After last years incident with the tree and myself getting stuck in the attic. Got smart when we took it down last year. Be put the parts in two heavy duty bags. So it was much easier to get down. Another thing that went well was the lights. All ways check them before putting them on. But when I would put them on the tree one string would act up. Not this year and all so didn’t swear at all. Have to say once it was all decorated it turned out nice.
