Boney M. – Sunny

Once again it is throwback Thursday.  It has been along time since I picked a Boney M song, so going with Sunny.   Up until today didn’t know their version was a cover.  The original was by Bobby Hebb released in 1966.  Boney M.’s version is off their first album, Take the Heat off Me.  Released in 1976.  You can give it a listen > here or below.

Boney M. – Rivers Of Babylon

Time again for musical throwback Thursday.  Growing up the only thing I knew about Boney M. was that we listened to their Christmas album every year.  It is still one of my favorites.  Then when I was a teenager remember hearing a song on the radio with a voice I knew but could not place.  Turned out it was them with their song Rivers of Babylon.  It is off their 1978 album Nightflight to Venus.  I think the song still sounds good.  You can give it a listen/watch > here or below.

Little Drummer Boy

I used to hate the song Little Drummer Boy.  Except for one version, the Boney M version.  They have one of my all time favourite Christmas albums.  Then a few years ago I heard/seen another great version by  Celtic  Woman.  In the video which is below.  Has the coolest intros I have very seen.  Next is the version that was put out last year with a bit of a rock talk on it by Sean Quigley.  It is all the same song just with different takes on it.  They are all great.  So pick the one you like the best.
