Cape Breton Bikefest 2011 Pictures

It is day three of the 2011 Cape Breton Bikefest.  The rain had stopped so there were a lot a bikes out.   Looked like a lot more than last year.  Got to see the World Famous Wall of Death.  Lucked out there and got the last ticket for that showing.  It was pretty cool.  The main guy was funny, put on a good show.  There were two other guys there as well.  One was just a kid, 15 years old.  The best part was he got a lady to fold a five dollar bill, put it in her mouth then lean over the side.  He was going to ride up on the wall and take the money.  He missed a few tries, then got it but ended up dropping it.   While he was still riding the wall he got another bill and tossed it back at her to try again.  So he did it again.  Getting it the first try.

Walked around for a bit looking at the bikes taking a few pictures.  It was all most time for the burnouts.  Went down to pick out a spot.  Watched the safety training demo guys for a bit.   They were done, picked up their stuff.   No sign of any one for doing some burnouts.  Waited some more.  Then gave up.  Was disappointed, had a camera and video camera ready to go.  I guess will have to wait to next year.  All so disappointed that there was no stunt show either.

   

   

   

   

Cape Breton Bikefest 2011 Pictures

Today (July 29, 2011) is the first day of the 2011 Cape Breton Bikefest.  It was a prefect day out.  The sun was shinning and not too hot.  When I was heading in there were all kinds a bikes out.  Then main reason I went out was to check out the The World Famous Wall of Death.  Got there and the sign said the next show was at 5pm.  I was there around 1:30pm.  Was a bit disappointed.  Oh well will just have to go back in later to night.  Walked around taking some pictures.  If the rain holds off for Saturday will go out and get some more pictures and may be some video.  If not Sunday looks like the weather will be better.

    

    

   

Cape Breton Bikefest 2011

A few more days and it will be the 2011 Cape Breton Bikefest, July 29 to August 1.  Have been looking forward to going since last year.  The weather is not looking so good for Saturday.  So will have to to get the most I can Friday and Sunday.  Can hope for a nice Saturday.  Plan to take all kinds of pictures.  So came back to check them out.

Thunder Glide Video

The people from Jason Lefrense Productions but together a nice video of the Thunder Glide.   The bike was built by Torque Speed Shop for this years prize at the 2011 Cape Breton Bikefest.  Have seen and posted some pictures of the bike.  The video does a much better job showing off the bike.  It is very cool looking.  A few more weeks and the bikefest will be here.  Plan to take all kinds of pictures.

Cape Breton Bikefest 2011

The 2011 Cape Breton Bikefest is a month and a bit way.  There is some cool news to share.  The World Famous Wall of Death are bringing their “Motorcycle Thrill Show”.  You might have see this type a of act on tv.  If not, it is a stunt show were riders, ride ins a barrel shaped cylinder.  Once they get going really fast they ended up riding the wall horizontally doing all kinds of tricks.  The should be a blast to see in person.  I am sure the line will be long to catch the show.  Will have to get there early to get a good spot.  The 2011 Bikefest will be July 29 to August 1.

Cape Breton Bikefest 2010 Pictures Day Three

Today (Aug 1, 2010) was day three of the 2010 Cape Breton Bikefest.  Took a walk around to check out the different types of bike.  There was a lot of old boring looking Harleys.  How ever there were some nice bikes around.  There was the type of BMW I want to buy and it was the colour I like too.  It is the dark blue one.

Today (July 31, 2010) is day two of the Cape Breton Bikefest.  Went and check it out in the morning.  Not too much going on. Decided to go buy a hat but they ran out.  So ended up buying a pin.   Went back in the afternoon to see the burn outs and the stunt show.  Had a good time.  The burn outs were great.  Lots and lots of smoke and a bunch of popped tires.

In a few more days the 2010 Cape Breton Bikefest will kick off.  July 30 to August 2, 2010.  So can’t wait.  I book that Saturday off.  I missed the burn out pit last year.  Don’t want to miss it this time around.  I am pretty sure there are going to be more bikes this year.  Plan to take all kinds of pictures.  So come back later on during this up coming weekend to see some pictures.

2010 Cape Breton Bikefest

This years up coming Cape Breton Bikefest has new motorcycle as the grand prize.  This year it is a 2010 Harley-Davidson CVO.  I am not the biggest Harley fan but they do make some really nice looking bikes and this one is no different.  According to the Canadian Harley website the MSRP is $33,259.  That is a nice prize for a $40 ticket.
