In a few posts talked about the Elegoo Mercury and that I ordered one and received it. When I did that ordered an ultrasonic cleaner as well. They came from different parts of the country. So the cleaner took longer to get here. But did show up much faster than the email said it would. Now that they are here I can jump back into using my Elegoo Mars again. These new tools will help me out a lot. Now I just need to get working on some 3D models to print. My goal is to make my own.

Have some thing planed for what I want to print next. There are all so lots of cool stuff online to get. However would like to try a make my own models. Have messed around with Tinkercad. It is an awesome web based free CAD program. The thing with that is you can 3D sculpt. Have looked into this a bit. The two programs that come up the most are Blender and ZBrush. Blender is free but hard to learn. For ZBrush is user friendly but costs a lot money. That being said there is now a stripped down free to use version called, ZBrushCoreMini. This just came out a few days ago. Going to give it a try.
3DF ZEPHYR

Now that the weather has gotten better going to start 3D printing again. Have all so tried out different photogrammetry program called 3DF Zephyr. They have a free version to try. Which I did but there are some limits. It only lets you use 50 pictures. The best part of the program is you can import video. Gave this at try with tutorial and was very impressed with the results. Got thinking I would like to give the one of the paid versions a try. Then sticker shocked happed. For the next level up, it lets you use 500 pictures. With an asking price of about $240.00 Canadian. This is a lot of money. Would be worth it if I was to use the program all the time. The level up after that is just shy of $4000.00 Canadian. There is a 14 day trail for the payed version. Just might give that a go.
Creality CR-6 SE

They are running it thought Kickstarter. Which I find odd but what ever. It is called Creality CR-6 SE. I do own a resin 3D printer but have an eye on getting one the filament type. This one stands out because it easy to assemble. But the biggest draw is it has auto leveling. Not going to back the Kickstarter but going to keep my eye on YouTube for more videos on it. They say it will most likely be out in August (2020). According the the Kickstarter page is it will cost $429 US retail. So my guess it will be close to $600 Canadian.

It’s a free open source toolset that can do a lot. From animation, motion graphics, video editing, 3D modeling and more. Years ago was going to try it out with video editing but ever got around to it. Know that I have Elegoo Mars would like to design my own models to print. There is a lot of great tutorials on YouTube. My plan is once a week and try one of these tutorials out.
