Fire and Blood: 300 Years Before A Game of Thrones

One of the gifts I received this year was the book, Fire and Blood: 300 Years Before A Game of Thrones (A Targaryen History).  It is set in the same world which George R.R. Martin the A Song of Ice and Fire series in.  This book as you can guess from the full title is a history book.  Have read a book similar to this one a while back called, The World of Ice & Fire: The Untold History of Westeros and The Game of Thrones.  That was an interesting read if you are into the details of this world.  However if you are not a fan of real or fake history that book will not be for you.  As for Fire and Blood.  Have only read about twenty pages so far.  It has that same history book feel to it.  So it might not be for everyone.  It is all so pretty big, 736 pages.  Will work my way though it.  Am a big fan of the main books and the TV show.
