Far Cry 3 Review

Finished off the main storyline in Far Cry 3 last night.  So it is time for a review.  Start off saying this is the funniest game I have played in a very long time.  Have played games that I liked and were some what fun.  But this one sucked me right in.  So far I have put in 42 hours or so in and was not boarded once.   Mind you the the game is not prefect but comes very close.   The problems I do have with it take place in the main story line.  This is an open world game.  But during the story missions its more a linear.  Don’t have a real problem with the linear part.  It is just if you don’t do what the game wants you to do, you end up dying.  So you have to start all over again.   The must frustrating parts are the two “big boss”’ battles.  Think I died about 10 times trying to get the last boss.  It comes down to quick time events.  If you are not fast enough or push the wrong button, you die and start all over.  After the game loads up again.   Don’t let that stop you from getting the game.   For all the complaining there are 10 awesome things for every one bad thing.

This is an open world FPS that got it right.  Exploring the living world with all the animals, taking over the bad guys outposts and all the side mission stuff is so awesome.  Have played for about 42 hours and there is still some stuff I have left to do and want to got back in and do them.  There is still more still haven’t tired multiplayer and co-op yet.   Have been telling very one I talk to, to go and buy this game.
