Canon PowerShot SX500 IS

Back in early October was talking about getting a new camera.  The Canon PowerShot SX500 IS.  Still thinking about getting more so now that it is on sale at Future Shop.  They have it on sale for $300.  That is $50 off.  So if you add on tax and the environmental fee it would come close to $350.  That is better that is still better than $400.  Would really like a new camera.  But do I really need one.  This is what I have to think over.  All so it is getting close to that fun time of year.  So that money could be put to use buying gifts for others.  This is bit of a dilemma.
