I picked up Borderlands game yesterday (Nov 05, 2009).  Was going to pick this game up when it first came out because Wal-Mart had it on sale.  But I missed out on that.  Time I got there all the copies were gone.  Went to Wal-Mart looking for a different game.  Which of course was not there, but I seen one copy of Borderlands so I bought it.

From I what I have played it is really good.  It is one of those time suck game for sure.  I spent about two hours today and it didn’t seem like it.  I have a full review once I played some more.

Have had the song Funny the Way It Is by Dave Matthews Band stuck in my head for days now.   These guys have some awesome songs.   This has to be one of their best and the video is very cool to boot.

I am glad I waited to see G.I. Joe: The Rise of the Cobra on DVD.  I new it would be check your brain the door action movie.  Which I am fine with, but this was bad.   The action was good.  But the rest was just run of the mill.  Very predictable and cheesey to boot.  Some times cheesey can be fun.  Didn’t work in this movie.  The ending was so predictable it was painfully to watch.  They tried to make it like it was a big surprise.  If you didn’t see it coming you were not paying attention.

Lots of action, but it mostly CG action.  It is very predictable.

It was raining out on way home from work today (Nov 3, 2009) on my motorcycle.  There was some kind of road working going on.   I stopped for the guy holding the sign.   He turned this sign to let me go.  I go around the turn and there is an SUV driving right at me.  I was like shit what is going on here.  I pull over to the side and stop, hoping he would go by.  Look back and there is a car behind me.   I hear some voices yelling.  I said to myself, “I’m getting the fuck out of here”.    Not sure what went wrong.  But the two things I can think of are:  One of the guys didn’t turn his sign.  Or the guy driving the SUV decide not to stop.

Series fourteen of Top Gear starts November 15, 2009.  Can’t wait because it is one of my favourite shows ever.  I was reading on Wikipedia that this series is being filmed in HD.

I thought Trick ‘r Treat might be a fun watch, well I was wrong.  It had some cool/creepy ideas but didn’t pull it off.  I think the main problem was it was trying to be to many types of horror films at the same time.  It had the comedy, slasher and the supernatural horror elements.  If was just too much for one movie.  It made it feel like it was trying to hard.  I am not really into horror films but watch them every now again thinking one of the has to be good at some point.   But must of them are bad.

Not very good, funny or scary.  Rent only if you run out of options.

I had to watch Dead Snow after seeing the box art.  I was thinking, cool movie with Nazi zombies.  I haven’t seen one of those before.   I start off saying this is not in English, it has English subtitles.  It’s not a big deal because the plot is very simple to follow .  It is an ok movie.   The zombies look great, the special FX are top notch of a low budget film.  You can see they used some green screen in a few shots.   The rest was shot mostly out side.   There are some funny bits but over all it was a bit boring.

This is a rent if you like zombie movies  Not being a Hollywood movie so it is a bit different than what some people are use to.

There are some new pictures that came out today (Oct 30, 2009) for Red Dead Redemption.   They look way better than the ones that came out a few months back.  If this game plays as good as it looks it will be one of the best ever.

Carved the pumpkin today (Oct 29, 2009).  Like last here I downloaded a template.  It makes it so much easier than trying to come up with some thing.  Since I hate carving the pumpkin, but any who the picture is below.  It turned out ok.

Wow I was surprised how good The Tournament is.  I saw the ad on TV saying it will be out on dvd, Oct 27, 2009.  I first though a direct to dvd action movies are not all ways that good.  How ever this one should have been in theatres.  It is so much better than a lot of action movies that get a big push, like Transporter 3, which sucked.  There are some flaws that all action movies make.

The action is some of the best in a long time.  They don’t hold back and go with the standard movie.  How ever there are some small flaws.
