Time to review volume three in the Ninja Turtles reboot comic series. This one is called, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shadows of the Past Volume 3. This story picks right up were volume two leaves off. Really enjoying this fresh new take on the Ninja Turtles origin. It is some much better than the old cartoon show and live action movie take on the origin. It makes so much better scents. Still silly but way cooler. The volume has us meeting the Shredder and Karai. In this world she is his granddaughter. Of course there is the Foot Clan. The story revolves around Splinter being taken captive and the Turtles set out to get him back. While this is taking place we get to me the purple dragons for the first time.
Over all this is another awesome volume. The art work is amazing. It is so nice any one of the panels could be hanging on wall some were. The story picks right up after volume 2 (which was a cliff-hanger) and moves at good place meeting new characters. It has the first show down with the Shredder. You can guess how it ends but still very fun read. Volume four should star with a new story. Highly recommend checking these volumes out.
